Hidden away on Page 79 of the Annual Report it states that Government has developed a business case for a Biomass Policy.
But where do we find it I wonder? There's been no big announcement.
Surely in view it's 15% renewable target for 2015 the public should be told of this new initiative.
The magnificent DEFA Headquarters is heated via an impressive wood-chip boiler. Could they be extending the installation of such boilers to other government buildings? Or does it go beyond this?Let's hope so.
Remember Peter Taylor told a P A G public meeting, "Growing Our Own Energy" (March 2010), that we should be developing our own biomass crops. Perhaps the message got through!
So CoMin please don't hide your light under a bushel over this - reveal all.
