The Treasury Minister, the Hon Alf Cannan MHK will present his 2021 Budget Statement to Tynwald on Shrove Tuesday 16th February.

In the last year the Minister and his team have had to be quick on their feet in dealing with the economic effects of the pandemic crisis.

Various contingency measures have been introduced to ensure the stability of the economy.

The crisis has had a damaging effect on the living standards of many residents.
So in the mix this year there are likely be some measures to claw back lost revenue.

Of necessity this critical Budget will have to anticipate the effects of Brexit.

All in all the Treasury team are faced with a considerable challenge. PAG is delighted to welcome Mr Cannan to discuss the 2021 Budget.
