Isle of Man Film Industry revealed in THE SKEET

Those sharp eyed viewers of the current hit BBC2 drama serial 'The Shadow Line' may have noticed in the end credits that mention is made of the Isle of Man and CinemaNX.

Readers who would like to know more about the structure of government funded CinemaNX are urged to read the May edition of 'The Skeet'.

It is latest in a series of Liberal Vannin Party e-publication critiques on various topics of political interest.

Election of Legislative Council

There has been much controversy but little resolution as to how the upper chamber of Tynwald should be elected.  However, one clear objective is apparent in that it must be publicly elected in the future – the electoral college route being deemed as anachronistic.

Parents of children at Murray’s Road School have been told that their children will no longer have proper PE sessions until at least the autumn as the government need to save the £75 cost per journey to the NSC. This school, like others in central Douglas lacks any suitable facilities.
