"3 MHKs discuss Parliamentary Reform"

Phil Gawne, Peter Karran, Chris Thomas

NMS lewis bishop

Manx Legion, Market Street, Douglas

ALL Welcome - Admission Free

Various ideas about Parliamentary Reform continue to simmer in the Isle of Man, so this month PAG has invited 3 proponents to discuss their ideas.

Phil Gawne surprised everyone earlier this year and caused quite a stir in advocating that the Legislative Council be abolished.

Peter Karran is not so extreme in that he proposes the popular election of LegCo on an all-Island basis on or after 2018.

Chris Thomas favours holding a public Referendum on Parliamentary Reform in 2016 and also cutting the number of full-time politicians from 33 to 24.

The 3 MHKs will each  have chance to develop their ideas with active participation from an inquisitive PAG audience.

It should be a lively debate, starting at 7.45 pm, after our AGM

Come along and join in - All welcome, admission free!
