rphArmed with a microphone and tape recorder you've been sent to report on the opening of a brand new 3 star, 30 bedroom hotel in Ramsey. It's a modern replacement for the now flattened Grand Island Hotel to the North along the bay. The wealthy developer is there along with civic dignitaries and the Chief Minister, who is also one of the two local MHKs.

You're anxious to talk some of these guests and after performing the official opening the Chief Minister grants you an interview. Proudly he tells you "This is a good example of government and the private sector working together, because government has a stake in this as well".

What's your next question?

I went along to the public open day to 'inspect' the hotel. The views from the bedrooms above the entrance are spectacular - over looking Mooragh Park and the hills above Ramsey. They also have sea views to the north.

Surely the next question is "Exactly what is the stake of government?
Please explain what you mean Chief Minister"

Why was the hotel sited back to front with its back to the sea?
Perhaps is there going to be another building along the front later?
