Regarding the subject of last night, Juan Watterson is a capable chap and is one of our better politicians but he is naive in the extreme. Although I have respect for law and order and in general the Isle of Man Police Force, our police are not capable and responsible enough to handle these extended powers. No way. These laws WILL be abused by the Isle of Man police. For Juan Watterson to say there is a safeguard in the Police Complaints Committeeis absolutely laughable.
Again, thanks for your and PAG's work.
Often I feel like 'what's the point, the Government will do what it wants anyway'. It was great to know that PAG exists and that there is a call to rally the general public from their apathy to fully consider proposed legislation before the same is enacted.
